Semi abstract figurative artist

About me
Liz is a multi disciplinary artist who likes to experiment with different approaches to her work. She is fascinated by the face, eyes and portraiture. She also likes to incorporate elements of graffiti, stencil work and paste up.
As a self taught painter, her work has been likened to outsider art. She certainly does not fit into to the stereotypical fine art canon. Nevertheless she is driven and captivated by pursuing studies of a figurative nature.
Her journey is steered by notions of the alter ego and fantasy. Narratives from a future dystopia where arts and culture have been outlawed therefore creative individuals seek to express themselves without permissions, as part of an underground scene.
About my work
My work sits at the crossroads of street art, neo-expressionist portraiture, and playful modern abstraction. In pieces like 'Gotta Dance', I use bold outlines, graffiti-inspired marks, and layered colour to let faces emerge from a tangle of emotion and urban energy.
Circles, floral forms, and softened geometric shapes echo the language of mid‑century abstraction, while the attitude comes straight from the city wall. The result is a body of work that feels both raw and carefully composed—portraits that hold chaos and calm in the same breath.
